• Requires longer healing time, many visits to make sure everything is done correctly.
• Regular Follow-up visits with the hygienist to keep the prosthesis and implants clean. 
• May require bone grafting or a sinus lift procedure in order to get enough bone to place implants.
• Does not come in and out at home for cleaning; electric toothbrush and oral irrigator required for home care.
